We are a small, family operated business that wants to help you, the business owner, with your bookkeeping and payroll needs. Instead of trying to force you into a specified way of looking at things, we use a personalized approach to make things as easy and affordable as possible for our clients.

Most new business owners know little about what they are doing when handling their accounting and payroll. This can result in the owner being stuck behind a desk of paperwork with a ‘how to..’ book in hand instead of doing what he or she is passionate about. And even if they are familiar with accounting, that’s not what they want to spend their valuable time doing. That’s where we come in.

The Business

Busy Bookkeepers has been helping small businesses with their payroll and bookkeeping needs since 2002. Our staff has over 40 years of professional experience primarily geared toward small- and medium-sized businesses.

We have a very personal and professional approach designed to provide the best service at the most reasonable rates. We have worked with various types of businesses and people including those in the fields of construction, retail, property management, and health motivation.

Whether it’s bookkeeping, or payroll, we take the headache and hassle out of it so you can get back to what you enjoy.

How We Work

We are a home-based business in Midland, Michigan. We pride ourselves on the accuracy and personalization of our services.

Once we get the particulars of what your business needs and expects of us, we use a remote desktop service (that you approve of and are comfortable with) to use your software and process your accounting and/or payroll directly on your business computer. This lets us print reports and pre-approved checks to either your office or our office. That way we both get what we need for the bookkeeping, and you have immediate access to your accounting records and don’t need to learn a new program or schedule.

If you haven’t set up your own accounting system yet, we can help you with that too. And if it best suits your needs, we can maintain all of the accounting records using software on our business computers.

The bulk of her career has centered on office management, payroll (including related tax reports), benefit administration, and financial analysis. David Sines is currently on hiatus writing his first fictional novel series. But he continues to fill in and assist whenever needed. He joined Busy Bookkeepers in 2008 handling any needed tasks for the company. Like Wendy, the bulk of his career has been around management. He likes to learn new things and diligently assists clients.

 

 

Autumn Demura, office assistant, has been with the business since the beginning in 2002. Her creativity and hard work help keep the business afloat, while keeping the team upbeat and motivated.

 

 

 

Dana Swartzendruber, bookkeeping and payroll  assistant, is our first second-generation and started as a co-op taking some of the menial tasks off Wendy’s plate. She has been with us since 2018 and has grown into a valued member of the team. She is very detail-oriented and quick to learn new tasks.
